“The City of Groveland and Lake County Robotics would like to invite you to a special event at the Puryear Building in Groveland on June 27th from 6-9pm.
This event is to help launch a brand new independent FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) team in South Lake County for all students in grades 8-12. This team will be based in Groveland and open to all students throughout South Lake County whether in a public school, a private school and for those who are homeschooled.
We will have students and robots present from our existing FRC teams here in Lake County to speak with, to watch them demonstrate their robots and you will even have a chance to drive one yourself. We cordially invite any interested students and parents. We’re also looking for anyone interested in mentoring students on mechanical or electrical work, programming, marketing, business planning and public relations; so if you think you’d be interested please stop by.
