First Quarter of 2018 Uniform Crime Report Statistics Show an Overall Reduction in Crime Rate for the City of Clermont
The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) statistics for the State of Florida during the first six months of 2018 (January – June) have been released. These statistics are the standardized measure that is used across the United States to report crime within communities, states, and regions.
For the first six months of 2018, the Clermont Police Department is pleased to announce that there was an overall reduction in crime by 4.6% in the City of Clermont. Additionally, the Uniform Crime Reporting statistics show a significant reduction in Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Violent Crime.
The Clermont Police Department has instituted the policing models of Community Policing, Intelligence-Led Policing along with Crime Prevention and Awareness and has seen positive results.
