During the evening hours of September 8, 2020, Groveland Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 27.

K9 Pollo provided a positive alert on the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found marijuana, MDMA, crack cocaine, and ecstasy pills. Officers intercepted the contraband as the vehicle passed through Groveland.
24 year old Stephon Ford was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail without incident with his bond set at $54,000.

“Drugs are the root of most crime and all that is evil….I thank the men and women of the Groveland Police Department for a job well done knowing this poison will never reach the streets of the intended destination,” said Chief Shawn Ramsey.
