Lake County EMS Has New Training Tools to Help Save Children’s Lives [VIDEO]

Lake County Office of Emergency Medical Services is now training on a pediatric simulator that simulates not so common emergent problems with a 6-7 year old child. This simulator is so high-tech that it can even respond to medicine given.

 

Utilizing the simulator allows the EMTs to train and gain hands on experience in situations at occasionally arise.

“Lake County’s Office of Emergency Medical Services is now training on a pediatric simulator, allowing our EMS staff the ability to practice their response on a child who may be experiencing a medical emergency.

Our pediatric simulator produces a physiological response to treatment in the same manner that an actual child would in real life.” Tiffany Henderson, PIO of Lake County said in a recent release.
