On December 19th Groveland police, along with Groveland Mayor Evelyn Wilson and City Council Member Dina Sweatt, delivered truckloads of presents to the Clermont police headquarters to answer a challenge Clermont Chief Broadway made to the Groveland Police Department.
In recent weeks, Groveland police have worked with the community to round up gifts for the men and women serving in the Armed Forces overseas during this holiday season.
Overall, more than 300 packages will be shipped out due to these local efforts.
