Clermont, Fla. December 10, 2018 – The National Training Center (NTC), part of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, held their annual Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive in November to help local families enjoy a special holiday meal with their loved ones this season.
The Food Drive encouraged NTC members, guests and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Team members to donate nonperishable foods and personal care items from November 1 – November 18. All items were delivered to Faith Neighborhood Center, in Groveland, Fla., before Thanksgiving. Faith Neighborhood Center provides support, including food, medical, and education assistance, to low income families and individuals in south Lake County.
The drive collected over 1,700 items, ranging from canned vegetables to toothbrushes, which will go to help over 200 families this holiday season.
