Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections, announces a polling place change which will be in effect for the upcoming Municipal Election scheduled for November 5,2019. Precinct 93 has a new location at the First Baptist Church, Family Ministry Center, whose address is 1000 1st Avenue, Mount Dora, FL, 32757. This is the same location as precinct 58.

“We take many factors into consideration before making a polling place change. Some of those factors include ease of access, parking, ability to accommodate equipment, and in instances where precincts were combined, a more cost-effective and efficient option for the citizens of Lake County. New Precincts may be added to reflect area population growth and are designed to meet the needs of Lake County voters,” Hays commented. “We also rely on the availability of the polling locations, and at times the owners may have a conflict and cannot accommodate our schedule,” Hays further elaborated.

Voters impacted by this precinct/polling place change were mailed updated voter information cards denoting their new polling place location. On Election Day, signage will also be noted at the old polling location site, directing voters to the new location.
