South Lake Chamber of Commerce Honors Local Teachers

The South Lake Chamber of Commerce honors our local teachers each school year with the annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and this year was no exception.

The normal two-day in-person event went remote this year due to COVID-19. Representatives from the Chamber’s Teacher Appreciation Committee visited 20 local schools to present them with a $500 check, an assortment of raffle prizes and a Chick-Fil-A card for each teacher.

“We wish we could have celebrated the way we have in years past, but we hope our South Lake teachers know how much we in the community appreciate each and every one of them,” commented South Lake Chamber of Commerce President & CEO David Colby.

The event would not be possible without the support of the South Lake community, including our co-host Pig on the Pond/Project Scholars and presenting sponsor, CEMEX. The event was also sponsored by Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, Stephanie Walter Promotions, City of Clermont, State Farm Insurance – Heather Thies, Kiwanis Club of South Lake, Office Depot, Clermont Woman’s Club, Kiwanis Club of Clermont, Logan Bowyer & McCollough P.A., Education Foundation of Lake County, Seacoast Bank and HouseMaster. Additionally, raffle prizes were provided by the following businesses: HouseMaster, Seacoast Bank, Ritter’s Frozen Custard, Doggy Delights by Allison, Granny Nannies, Matt & Chelsea at Hancock Real Estate, Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, The Outpouring, Red Lobster, Gamez Foundation, Addition Financial, Sassy Yard Cards, Clermont Brewing Company, Beta Theta, Clermont Oyster Bar, Scates Realty & Investment Properties, Stephanie Walter Promotions, Gigi Capria, Christensen Financial, Regina Cruz, Nails by Courtney, San Jose’s Original Mexican Restaurant, Ellie Lou’s Brews & BBQ, Hope Barton Fine Arts Studio & Gallery and Monica Josephs.
