The South Lake Chamber of Commerce will host their fourth annual South Lake Business Awards virtually in partnership with southlake.tv on Oct. 1, 2020. The event will be broadcasted on southlake.tv’s website, YouTube channel, Facebook page and through their channel on Roku.
The event is sponsored by WithumSmith+Brown and will include the presentation of three signature awards that recognize a business or citizen of the community who has gone above and beyond to serve the South Lake community. Those awards include:
- The Heritage Award, which recognizes a business with more than 25 years of service to the community that has shown continued contributions to the business community.
- The Oakley Seaver Special Service Award, named after a beloved South Lake figure who dedicated his life to community service, recognizes a nonprofit business, club, organization, educational institution or healthcare facility that has contributed significantly to the community and created a lasting impact or benefit.
- The Citizen of the Year Award is among the most respected in Central Florida. This annual award is presented to a South Lake resident who has displayed extraordinary dedication to the community through being actively involved in at least two community organizations, performs community service, and continually goes above and beyond what may be required as part of their employment.
In addition to the evening’s signature awards, 61 local businesses will be honored as the Best of South Lake. These awards were previously announced in March.
