On Sunday, February 24th, Chief Broadway was a guest speaker at the annual African American History Program and Cultural Awareness Event, which was held at the Clermont City Center. The Chief shared an encouraging message regarding the African American community, as well as the community of Clermont as a whole.
A signed Proclamation by Mayor Gail Ash was also read during the event. The Proclamation acknowledged that African American History is a vital part of America’s history and February has been proclaimed as a month to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation.
