MOUNT DORA – Lake County is hosting the Recommended Alternative Public Meeting for the Round Lake Road Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 at the Mount Dora Community Building, located at 520 N. Baker St., Mount Dora.
The study focuses on proposed transportation improvements along a nearly five-mile stretch on Round Lake Road from Meadowland Drive in Orange County to Wolf Branch Road in Lake County, as well as the proposed improvements on a new alignment north of Wolf Branch Road to north of State Road 44. The study is reviewing how people and vehicles travel in this area and identifying potential mobility and operational solutions.
The open-house style public meeting will present the “Recommended Build Alternative” and the “No Build Alternative,” along with the associated evaluations. This meeting will provide residents an opportunity to express their views concerning the social, economic, and environmental impacts of the proposed Round Lake Road improvements. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and to offer input to the study team. There will be no formal presentation, however an informational video will run continuously throughout the evening. Additional information is available online, and the meeting displays and video will be posted at www.roundlakeroadstudy.com within a week after the meeting.
